"I Surrender All’

I was born and raised in metro manila as early in 1950’s. Back then I thought I have a close link to God. My parents were very religious. I did everything they say that will please God. During High School I had a classmate who was close to me. He invited me to join a summer youth camp. I was excited but not because of the program. It’s just that I like the place a lot.

In 1977, I was employed in San Miguel Corporation as a mechanical draftsman. It was there that I met some of my fellow employees who meet every Friday for a bible study after work. I attended regularly though I am usually quiet during meetings. Then, on the same year I got sick. I was sent to the hospital due to gastroenteritis. I was confined for almost a week. While in the hospital, one of my sisters visited me and prayed for my illness. She also introduced me to the Lord Jesus Christ. Later when I got released from the hospital, I stayed home and found the 700 Club TV program. That Christian program helped me have an assurance of my relationship with the Lord Jesus.

As my faith in Jesus grew, I decided to enroll at FEBIAS College of Bible- a seminary in Valenzuela City. There I met my high school classmate who was first to share the Gospel to me and he was surprised. After five years of Bible training, I eventually finished my Bachelor in Christian Education.

God’s will and calling for me continue to unfold. After serving as pastor in region 4 and 2 for six years, God eventually led me to serve him in the academe as teacher which I have been doing until today.

Together with my wife Doc Vangie who I met many years back during a Christian seminar I attended, we are thankful to God for the privilege of serving him here in OBOLCF.
