"Serving the God I Love’

One summer nagkaroon ng Vacation Bible School at nung graduation day na, they shared about Jesus. That was the day when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. They made it so clear to me that knowing Jesus Christ is the way to heaven and there is no punishment of my sins, because Jesus Christ died for me.

My spiritual life grew steadily even as a child. At the age of 12, I decided to follow the Lord sa water baptism. When I got to High School, I attended youth camps regularly. And eventually became a youth Staff and Counselor.

When I moved to Manila to study for college, I made sure I joined a Christian church where I regularly attended worship service and served as a choir member.

Then, God opened a door for me to continue my studies at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary to become a fulltime worker. It was there that I met my dear husband, the late Pastor George Cao. We graduated in 1995 and decided to get married. We were blessed with 3 beautiful kids- Kathleen Grace, Kadmiel Chris and Kathreen Faith.

We served the Lord together as a family wherever the Lord brought us. First, in Antipolo Word for the World, (our first assignment), then Makati, Oriental Mindoro, Binmaley Pangasinan, and several other churches in Baguio City where we stayed for almost 25 years doing ministry.

Four years ago, God brought us here in Dagupan, Pangasinan when my husband accepted the invitation to be the head pastor of OBOLCF-Dagupan.

The transition was not easy. I needed to leave my work in PBTS as secretary to the President, and as properties and supplies custodian & purchaser for 8 years so I can join him in the new ministry God called him to do. But our common love for the Lord and his work made it a beautiful adventure.

It’s been three years now since God called Ptr.George home in eternity. As devastating as it was for me and my kids to see our dearest loved one passed away, God’s goodness and faithfulness remain to be our greatest comfort, protection and strength.

I came to know my Lord Jesus as a child, followed him as a youth, served him as a single lady and remained committed to him with my whole family. Until now I am in the ministry serving Him here in OBOLCF enjoying every moment of my service to God.

The journey of my life together with my family is awesome because God never leave us. Instead, He blessed us and made us to be a blessing to others. I thank God for everything that happened in my life. To God be the Glory.
